The Aleh Association initiated this project to establish a unique care environment in the South for mentally disabled youth and adults. This village includes residential buildings, high-dependency care center, paramedical center, special education school, vocational rehab center (packaging factory), technical services building and therapeutic sports facilities, all within a pastoral landscape whose design recalls a rural village. Aleh Negev will eventually accommodate 200 and will create up to 500 new jobs in various professions - medical and paramedical, nursing, education and rehabilitation, maintenance and administration - in an area suffering from persistent high rates of unemployment.
| In stage 1, the Rashi Foundation managed the construction of the following buildings and co-funded them together with the Safra Foundation, the government, the National Insurance Institute and the Aleh Association:
- Paramedical center for therapeutic services, including psychology, dental care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and counseling for families
- High-dependency care center (2 buildings) for patients who need 24-hour attention
- Technical services building with kitchen, laundry, repair workshops, store rooms, mechanical-technical systems. Other philanthropic organizations, including the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, funded the residential and other buildings in the village.

In Stage 2, Rashi continued its involvement through the management of construction of a therapeutic swimming pool, the second wing of the vocational rehab center, and the guard's cabin at the entrance of the village. Stage 3 - a therapeutic safari and riding stables - is now under construction.
The village currently accommodates 106 residents of whom 14 are in the high-dependency unit. It has 190 staff members, including sub-contractors (gardeners, cleaners, security, kitchen) and around 10 professional consultants.
The village offers the following services to the community outside the village:
· There are two kindergartens operating in the para-medical building
· There are 25 non-resident children at the school
· Rehabilitation treatment is provided at the child development unit
· The dental clinic serves disabled populations from all over the region
· There is a rehab center for adults and children
